What Is the Warrior Healing Center? Support for Local Veterans
What Is the Warrior Healing Center? A Place Where Veterans Heal, Connect, and Thrive
Located in Sierra Vista, Arizona, the Warrior Healing Center (WHC) is more than just a nonprofit—it’s a grass-roots, community-owned space for veterans seeking real, lasting support. Whether you’ve served in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, or stateside, the WHC is here to help veterans transition from surviving to thriving.
A Safe Haven for Veterans in Cochise County
Cochise County has one of the highest populations of veterans per capita in Arizona, and the Warrior Healing Center proudly serves as a hub for veteran services, camaraderie, and healing. Our mission is simple: we don’t just support veterans—we fight for them.
This all-volunteer organization is where you can find help with:
VA disability benefits and claims assistance
Mental health resources and peer-to-peer support
Veteran employment programs and resume coaching
Food pantry, housing help, and emergency relief
A sense of community you can count on
Healing the Soul, Not Just the Symptoms
On average, 22 veterans die by suicide every single day. Since 2001, that adds up to more than 30,000 American heroes lost—not to war, but to the invisible wounds of service. The Warrior Healing Center exists to change that.
We aren’t a government agency. We’re not a medical facility. We’re something different—a grass-roots coalition of veteran-owned organizations, nonprofits, and volunteers dedicated to healing the soul and restoring purpose.
Who Runs the Warrior Healing Center?
The center is operated by veterans, military spouses, and people who truly understand the military lifestyle. From deployments to PCS moves, to navigating the confusing VA process, our team has lived it—and now volunteers their time to help others.
It’s this all-volunteer model that gives the WHC its heart. No one is here for a paycheck. We’re here for each other. What Makes WHC Different?
1. 30+ Veteran Service Organizations Under One Roof
WHC hosts over 30 mission-driven groups—many of them grass-roots efforts led by fellow veterans. That means less red tape, faster answers, and fewer hoops to jump through.
2. 100% Community-Owned and Funded
We’re proud to say WHC is community owned, not government-run. We rely on local donors, partnerships, sponsorships, and volunteer power to make this mission work.
3. Walk-In Support
No appointment necessary. Walk in, grab a coffee, and talk to someone who gets it. Our all-volunteer staff is ready when you are.
4. Events That Rebuild Purpose
From our Stand Up 4 Freedom Street Fair to Trunk or Treat and our upcoming 5K fundraiser, our grass-roots eventsare designed to reconnect veterans with their community and purpose.
Real Stats, Real Impact
Since January 2022, more than 2,000 veterans have completed intake. We’ve responded to over 5,000 assistance requests, helped veterans claim millions in VA benefits, and hosted dozens of free community events—all powered by our volunteers and local support.
